Hiking and Camping near Mexico City
Visit an amazing crater of an extinct volcano! At the hight of 4,680 meters above sea level, you should definitely visit Xinantécatl (this is the indigenous name), also known as the Nevado of Toluca!
It is about an hour and a half away from Mexico City and it has unbelievable views! It is an experience you can't miss!
The temperature at the Nevado of Toluca is in between -2 and 12 degrees celsius, so I recommend to bring many layers of clothing to withstand the cold.
