General Idea is an artistic movement created by A.A. Bronson, Felix Partz and Jorge Zontal. They stantd out among other movements for being againsts the art industry at the en of the 60's. The movement was active from 1967 until 1994.
This bold exhibition critizices concepts such as mass production, the distribution and consumption of images, the exploitation of brands and logos, the production and consumptios of art as merchandise, it also talks about topics such as the gay identity, the AIDS crisis.

Partz and Zontal died of AIDS related causes in 1994. Bronson kept creating art independently.
